RPGMaker Data Folder Encrypter

A tool to encrypt your data folder and obfuscate your js files. Made for RPG Maker MZ and RPG Maker MV.

✨Features✨

• Encrypt your data folder:

Encrypts all .json files under the 'data' folder to inhibit players from tinkering with your game (ie. editing level, actor name, equipment stats, etc.)

• Obfuscate your plugins folder:

Along with the 'data' folder, you can also obfuscate your plugins folder to prevent players from tinkering with your game and / or stealing original code.

✨How to use✨

- Deploy your project

- Open the app and click on the 'Choose folder' button

- Navigate to the folder where your 'data' folder is located

- Click on 'Encrypt data folder'

You're done. 

NOTE:

- IMPORTANT! If you have other .json files that are being read by plugins and that are outside of the data folder, temporarily relocate them to the data folder so they can be encrypted as well. After encryption, you can move them back to their respective locations.

- Obfuscating your plugins folder may cause game breaking bugs. Use accordingly.
- The core js files will be obfuscated by default when encrypting the data folder. This is to hide the encryption key. This won't cause any game breaking bugs.

The paid tool (AIDRA) will have a fail safe manner for obfuscating your plugins folder as well as a more enhanced version of encryption of the data folder along with your other assets (image / videos).
